This full-time, on-site contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027, and focuses on high-priority positions at the high school level (English and Biology, which require high school certification) as well as additional essential positions in middle school, elementary (Intensive Learning Center), a pullout/inclusion combination, and preschool special education. With a 37.5-hour work week and multiple positions available, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to exceptional student outcomes.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid NM licensure required
- High school English and/or Biology certification needed for select roles
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for advocating and differentiating instruction for students with diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance requirements
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to provide whole-child support
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school events
