We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sign Language Instructor to join the team at Language Leaders Academy. The ideal candidate enjoys teaching adults, creates engaging lessons, and helps students develop practical communication skills in a positive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach sign language classes to adult students of different skill levels.
- Prepare interactive and engaging lesson plans.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to practice sign language through real-life conversations and activities.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality in every class.
Requirements
- Fluency in sign language (ASL preferred).
- Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, energetic, and passionate about education.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching adults.
- Certification in sign language instruction or interpreting (preferred but not required).
- Experience creating lesson materials and classroom activities.
