Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and Maintenance Engineer to oversee the proper operation, maintenance, and cleaning of swimming pools and related equipment. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of pool facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Perform regular pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and maintaining water clarity
- Monitor chemical levels using testing kits; adjust pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical balances to ensure safe water quality
- Operate and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and automated systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with pool systems using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, inspections, and repairs
- Respond promptly to any operational issues or safety concerns to minimize downtime or hazards
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance engineer in pool operations or related fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing pool equipment and systems
- Familiarity with pool maintenance procedures including cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment troubleshooting
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools for repairs and routine maintenance
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to pool operations and equipment handling
- Prior experience in service-oriented roles demonstrating attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
