IDR is seeking a CNC Machinist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Louisville, CO. This role involves working in a high-demand environment focused on precision manufacturing and prototype development, supporting innovative scientific and aerospace projects.
Position Overview for the CNC Machinist:

Responsible for setting up and operating three-axis CNC mills and manual machining equipment.

Participate in producing precision parts to tight tolerances in a fast-paced, low-volume development environment.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances, including basic GD&T requirements.

Support rapid prototype fabrication for scientific systems, including UHV, optical, and quantum applications.

Work on-site in Boulder, Colorado, during day shifts with minimal overtime as needed.
Requirements for the CNC Machinist:

2–3 years of hands-on machining experience in a prototype, aerospace, or defense environment.

Demonstrated ability to set up and operate three-axis CNC mills; experience with four-axis machining preferred.

Working knowledge of CNC programming with the ability to create or modify straightforward programs.

Ability to produce parts within tolerance of ±0.0005 inch, utilizing precision measurement tools.

Capable of organizing and completing work independently, with strong attention to detail and safety.
