Overview
We are seeking a part-time, experienced, dedicated, and passionate Dog Groomer to join our rapidly growing company. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dogs, ensuring their health and well-being while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years grooming experience with verifiable references. You must have a loving approach with dogs and the ability to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Duties
- Work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with rotating Saturdays.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping/grinding for dogs of various breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any observations made during the grooming process.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Follow process & procedures, keeping accurate records of services provided, including any special instructions from pet owners.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best care for pets.
Skills
- Hands-on groomer training with a strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques.
- Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in animal handling with a calm demeanor around pets.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
- Previous experience in pet sitting or dog training can enhance your candidacy.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in grooming tasks.
- Team spirit a must.
