Cape Romain Contractors, Inc. is hiring an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to support estimating efforts and manage marine, bridge, and heavy civil construction projects from award through closeout.
Typical projects include pile driving, docks, bulkheads, dolphins, seawalls, wharves, marine foundations, bridge construction, bridge repairs, concrete repairs, waterfront structures, and other heavy civil construction work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and complete estimates and assist in bid reviews
- Manage projects from award through closeout
- Coordinate superintendents, crews, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and materials
- Track project costs, labor, equipment, production, and budgets
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project reports
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Support project scheduling, procurement, safety, quality control, and closeout
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in marine, bridge, and/or heavy civil construction preferred
- Experience with project management, estimating, or both
- Familiarity with cranes, barges, pile driving, and marine operations
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with B2W Estimate or HCSS HeavyBid is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
