Job Summary

Duties
- Assist the store manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Support recruiting efforts through interviewing and onboarding new employees
- Manage payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate shift schedules, supervise staff performance, and facilitate training & development initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory retail role with leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Demonstrated expertise in retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory control tools, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting processes
- Experience in managing budgets, merchandising, marketing initiatives, and retail math calculations
- Ability to lead teams with confidence while fostering a collaborative work environment
- Prior experience in grocery or general retail stores is preferred but not required
