We are seeking 2-3 new teachers to be able to open new classrooms!!! Here are some things you need to know if you may be interested:
1. We encourage messy play! Our curriculum follows the lead of the children. This means most of our play is messy.
2. We are a multiage center. Each classroom is set up similar to an in home center with children from 6 weeks through 2nd grade. 2 teachers with 10 children.
3. We are in a responsive caregiving and natural consequences center. If a child is upset it is always our goal to comfort them. We also do not use typical "discipline". We get to the root of the problem and either offer materials the child can use the way they want (ex. ripping books we will provide other paper to rip), or help them talk it out with their friends.
4. We offer paid holidays, and 12 days per year pto. We also close the week between Christmas and new years. We are as flexible as possible with schedules as we believe family always comes first!
5. Staff get home cooked meals with the children each day. We believe exposure to many foods is important to the children and make sure they have the best, and so do the staff!
New staff requirements:
Previous experience preferred, but will train the right person
Caring, patient, and able to handle loud, busy environments
GED or HS diploma
Able to pass all required background checks
Desire to make a difference in children's lives
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
