Karen Battaglia for State Senate is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Field Director. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented position focused on reaching voters in the community alongside your peers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Field Organizers and Volunteers, including their schedules, training, and performance metrics
- Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, and text banking events
- Build a strong volunteer base for Get Out the Vote operations
- Assist in staffing the Campaign Field Office, greet anyone who enters the office during operating hours
- Assist the Campaign Manager in tracking, attending, and potentially staffing all local political, campaign, and community gatherings, meetings, volunteer opportunities, etc.
- Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, the candidate, volunteers, and partner organizations
- Serve as on-site Staff with/for the Candidate at events as needed
- Knock on doors to talk to voters
- Manage the precinct-priority for direct voter contact alongside Campaign Manager
- Any other campaign-related tasks, as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior organizing experience preferred but not required (paid, volunteer, or internship)
- A background in VoteBuilder and MiniVan is preferred but not required
- Ability to work weekends and long hours.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
- Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required
- Positive attitude and a commitment to electing Democrats.
Job Type: Full-time; Contract
- Pay: Based on experience; Full paycheck through November 15, 2026.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend Availability (Must work either Saturday or Sunday)
