Responsibilities
- A position for a medical assistant with pediatric experience who will focus on services related to patient care.
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Support clinical staff with procedures such as vaccine administration
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing comfort in pediatric settings
- When necessary, manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications
Qualifications
- Pediatrics experience mandatory.
- Experience with Office Practicum EMR will be a preferred advantage over other applicants.
- Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology necessary for accurate documentation and efficient workflow
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
- As a small clinic of less than 7 staff members, interpersonal skills with co-workers is very important.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
