Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our organization. Duties
· Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
· Answer incoming calls, route messages as needed, and provide general information to public about Marshall-Harrison County Health District (MHCHD) services
· Assist patients to complete required forms for visit type
· Process paperwork for patients, prepare packets for clinical personnel, and assist with patient recalls
· Assist patients and general public to find other services not provided at our office, such as Medicaid, WIC, and primary care
· Enter data as required in the EMR and IMMTRAC
· Maintain non-clinical supplies, ensure forms are up to date, and adequate forms are available.
· Assist with special projects and community events as needed
· Sort mail, prepare invoices and checks for payment and deposit for director review.
· Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes
· Participate in all grant related activities as required
· Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical and personal information
· Any other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; specialized office or medical administration training is a plus
Experience: One to three years of customer service or general office work, ideally in a medical or public service setting
· Familiarity with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office) and digital health databases (EHR systems)
· Strong telephone etiquette, ability to greet patients professionally both in person and on the phone, patience, multi-tasking abilities, and strict respect for patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
