JOB SUMMARY:
The Classroom Associate supports classroom teachers with instruction and student supervision. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the district.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist and support the classroom teacher with reading and math instruction; working with small groups or individual students.

Assist the teacher in monitoring student progress by maintaining records and providing feedback as requested.

Take directions for instruction from the classroom teacher. Work in collaboration with teacher(s) using developmentally appropriate practices.

Use positive reinforcement techniques and strategies to assist in managing behavior throughout the school routine including transition times, lunch, and recess.

Maintain professional learning and growth by attending provided training.

Other duties, as assigned.
