Rate of Pay: $125,010 to 149,818 (commensurate with education and experience). Position includes District provided annuity, full medical, dental and vision benefits according to the District plan; other benefits per the administrator contract.
Schedule: 260 day contract
- Demonstrated understanding of sound business procedures and effective leadership practices
- Ability to understand and interpret audit reports and Michigan DOE reporting requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school administrators and staff.
- Ability to use district and state technology, including PowerSchool, New World Systems, CEPI and MEGS.
- Ability to work with people and utilize conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Discretion with confidential information.
- Work with the Superintendent to create a budget, manage financial matters of the district, direct the audit of the district, and recommend appropriate investments and purchasing procedures.
- Work with the Assistant Superintendent and all other administrators to deliver outstanding educational opportunities for students.
- Work with the Special Education Director to manage and monitor all Special Education reports and accounts.
- Serve as chief purchasing agent for the district.
- Manage the district’s grants in MEGS.
- Provide timely reports to the M.D.E., State of Michigan, external auditors, the Board of Education, and the Superintendent of Schools
- Manage the district’s investments to the financial benefit of the district
- Assures business office compliance with Board policy and legal requirements regarding accounting and finance as well as maintains sound business practices, which include proper checks and balances.
- Participate in collective bargaining with employee groups as assigned
- Attend all Board meetings, and participate in conventions, community meetings and conferences necessary to represent the district well and remain informed, skilled, and professionally growing.
- Assume all other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent
