Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Basic Purpose- The Inventory Control Coordinator will perform a variety of duties for the company related to inventory accuracy, product movement, and inventory management across multiple locations. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, coordinating inventory transactions, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring proper product rotation to support operational efficiency and customer fulfillment demands.
The Inventory Control Coordinator will work closely with Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure inventory integrity, accurate reporting, and compliance with company procedures and food safety standards. This role reports to the COO. The role backup is the Production Manager.
Description:
Strategically manage inventory in compliance with company policies and operational expectations
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across multiple warehouse and storage locations
Ensure all products are rotated properly utilizing FIFO practices
Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation processes to ensure inventory accuracy and timely execution
Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving inventory variances
Compile reports, inventory data, and operational metrics for management review
Work closely with Shipping, Transportation, Production, and Warehouse teams to coordinate product movement and inventory transactions
Perform WMS/WHS reconciliation to ensure accurate inventory between multiple locations
Assist with inventory adjustments and inventory control reporting
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transportation companies as needed
Support continuous improvement in initiatives related to inventory processes and operational efficiencies
Ability to work in a cold environment
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven work experience in inventory control, warehouse operations
Knowledge of inventory procedures and best practices
Ability to identify and support process improvement initiatives
Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and databases
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail with a high focus on accuracy and safety
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Education/Training:
High school diploma required; some college preferred
1–3 years of inventory control or related experience preferred
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Related Experience/Requirements:
Experience in food production, food manufacturing, or food warehouse environment preferred
Experience working in refrigerated or freezer environments preferred
Familiarity with ERP, WMS, or inventory tracking systems preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs. must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.
Work in a cold refrigerated environment
