Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and other confections with precision and flair
- Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to create visually appealing treats
- Assist in food preparation by measuring ingredients, assembling components, and following recipes accurately
- Package baked goods and prepared foods efficiently for sale or delivery while maintaining presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support food production processes by adhering to portion control, ingredient handling, and storage guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders and high-quality customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary roles within the food industry; pastry experience is highly valued
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with cake decorating, packaging, and catering is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant or food production experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
