American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Telemetry position in a Med-Surgical unit in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Acute Med-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, and respiratory patients, as well as patients on high-risk medication drips (Cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, lidocaine)

Respiratory patients on NIPPV (BiPAP, AirVO)
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5

Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

13-week contract

Epic EMR

Floating required

On-call required on weekends if needed

Active NM RN license or Compact state RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Current ACLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, individualized plan of care development and evaluation, patient and family education, discharge planning, and Point of Care testing

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay; local candidates are not accepted on this position
