Director of Manufacturing needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC’s client to work onsite in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize production efficiency.
- Design and oversee the assembly process optimized unit efficiency.
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the quality control department to maintain product standards.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing performance.
- Drive initiatives for process improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operability of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the manufacturing department.
- Resolve production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA in a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Experience in building an assembly and/or manufacturing space from the ground up.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Experience with budget preparation and financial management.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Ability to work manufacturing timelines with capital restraints.
