Our growing practice is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented team member to provide individualized attention to our patients in the Technician/Front Desk role. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a sense of confidence, good problem-solving abilities, a desire to work as a team and a dedication to providing friendly, high-quality care to all patients. In addition, this position will require the ability to multitask, as well as cross-train to aid in other roles as needed. We are a small practice that emphasizes the importance of working collaboratively with one another. We are looking for a candidate who is self-driven, reliable and eager to broaden their role within the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient pre-testing using various equipment in accordance with doctor's needs and exam type; Accurately enter medical information into patient records as needed; Answer phone calls and schedule patient exams; Read prescriptions, occasionally assist with frame selection and recommend lens products as prescribed by the doctor; Dispense and aid in the sale of contact lenses according to a prescription; Provide customer service, both in-person and over the phone, and explain services to patients; Stock contact lens trials inventory and ensure that the clinic is clean and organized; Assist with billing, insurance claims and various accounting duties as needed; Have an exceptional understanding of various medical and vision insurance plans.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including seniors and pediatric patients
- Organized and detail-oriented
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
