As the Housekeeping & Maintenance Engineer, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to Central Facilities Director and are responsible for tear-down, clean-up and reset of all classrooms and public areas at SBC Tempe, as well as prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of all campus facilities, equipment, and company vehicles.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
As the Housekeeping Technician, you will:
Breakdown of all rooms/public areas as needed (moving of tables, chairs, items, and re-set) based upon master calendar scheduling of activities and events
Clean-up of rooms and public areas
Complete Administrative Office checklist (empty trash, clean door glass and frames, vacuum, sweep/mop, replace bulbs, etc.)
Complete Classroom Cleaning checklist
Prepare classrooms prior to each event (clean sinks, countertops, tables chairs, white boards, trash, vacuum, etc.)
Clean all bathrooms (including replenish supplies and empty trash)
Daily to-do list in all buildings (Worship, DK, YTH, etc.)
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:
Maintain and repair equipment as needed
Monitor equipment and perform troubleshooting of problems and breakdowns
Maintain and repair basic plumbing, air conditioning and heating systems, and electrical systems
Conduct periodic inspections of facilities, assess problems and needs, and implement improvements in housekeeping as appropriate
Participate in maintenance activities across all campuses, ensuring facilities are well maintained and in good repair
Ensure maintenance operations are following established procedures, policies, regulations, and codes
Work to develop and maintain productive business relations with vendors, contractors, suppliers, etc.
Act as a liaison between the church and external contacts
Obtain and convey information as appropriate
Present a positive physical appearance of the church in the community
