Role Summary:
Join Our Client s Systems Solution team as a seasoned architectural leader in a large, complex enterprise network environment. You will define architecture principles and standards, assess current-state capabilities, and guide modernization roadmaps from strategy through engineering execution. This role also includes vendor engagement, escalated issue support, and the push to improve operational efficiency through automation and network analytics. Responsibilities:
- Lead network architecture across the enterprise, including design patterns, configuration standards, and implementation guidance
- Assess current-state network technologies, identify gaps/risks, and drive modernization roadmap decisions
- Develop RFP materials, evaluate vendor proposals, and present well-supported recommendations to senior leadership
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver network solutions
- Resolve complex escalated network issues using architectural-level root cause analysis and durable remediation
- Champion automation and analytics (AI-enabled tooling where applicable) to improve implementation quality and efficiency
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks and architectural guardrails across a distributed, multi-technology environment
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- 10+ years of enterprise network engineering and/or architecture experience with strong architectural judgment
- Breadth across LAN, WAN, wireless, security, and cloud-adjacent networking services
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive audiences
- Experience leading or contributing to RFP processes and technology evaluations
- Track record partnering with vendors and influencing multi-team delivery
Required Skills/Experience:
- Enterprise network architecture leadership (10+ years)
- Strong cross-domain networking knowledge (LAN/WAN/wireless/security/cloud-adjacent)
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable network designs
- Experience with RFPs and executive-level recommendations
- Collaboration with external suppliers/vendors
Other Skills:
- Automation and infrastructure-as-code familiarity (e.g., Ansible, Terraform preferred)
- Network analytics/visibility experience (e.g., ThousandEyes preferred)
- Hands-on involvement in large-scale network transformation or migration initiatives
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CCIE/CCNP/PCNSE or equivalent preferred)

- Hybrid contract with flexibility to support maintenance windows and critical production issues; occasional after-hours/weekend work may be required based on business needs.
