Hello,
We are seeking a driver for our 26 ft. box truck. (2020 International w/ lift gate)
- This is an OTR position, minimum 3 weeks at a time
- Drivers license must be issued in the state of Georgia
- There must be 0 points on your license + no accidents or moving violations in the last 5 years. We will need a copy of your Motor Vehicle Report
- Driver pay : 20%
- Pay: Bi-Weekly
- You must be fluent in use with Motive ELD; No exceptions. You will not be hired if you are not fluent in use.
Overview
We are seeking reliable and skilled Truck Drivers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Operate trucks and other vehicles for the purpose of transporting goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while following assigned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery sites.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
- Previous roles as a courier or delivery driver are advantageous.
- Experience in route driving and moving goods efficiently across various locations.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and address their needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus for handling larger shipments or warehouse tasks.
- Capability to drive vans or larger trucks safely under varying weather conditions.
