Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, diagnosing vehicle issues on-site
- Perform mechanical repairs such as tire changes, battery jumps, fluid top-ups, and basic engine fixes
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to repair vehicles efficiently
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Ensure all repairs adhere to safety regulations and mechanical repair standards
- Assist customers with vehicle-related questions while providing excellent customer service
- Follow manual handling procedures to safely lift and move vehicle parts or equipment during repairs
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and diesel mechanics
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively in various roadside conditions
- Familiarity with safety regulations relevant to roadside repairs and vehicle servicing
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
