Job Overview
Join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. RBTs work directly with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized ABA treatment plans and support clients in developing meaningful skills.
Position Requirements
- Active Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) badge is required.
- Must be available to work morning hours during the school day.
- Previous experience working with children and/or individuals with developmental disabilities is required.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or implementing ABA-based interventions is strongly preferred.
- Must be comfortable providing services in a school-based environment.
- Must be able to follow treatment plans, collect behavioral data, and work under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Strong communication and professionalism when working with clients, families, school staff, and the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Implement ABA therapy protocols designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and accurately record behavioral data during therapy sessions.
- Assist clients with communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills.
- Follow individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention procedures.
- Collaborate with the BCBA, family, and school staff to support consistency across settings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Follow all applicable ethical and professional standards.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder and/or ABA services is preferred.
- Experience in a school-based or clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral data collection and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
