Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and assisting with reservation inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and tidy
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and special requests promptly
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy hours, ensuring timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and guest relations standards to foster positive interactions at all times
Qualifications
- Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest services, serving, and hotel experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and guest relations best practices to ensure exceptional service
