OUR MISSION
Movement School is a growing network of free, public charter schools. We exist to love and value scholars and communities by leading a movement of excellence in education. In partnership with our families, we equip our scholars with the tools to close generational gaps through self-efficacy, access to world-class instruction, and financial education.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Teach the Language. Open the World.
At Movement Schools, we believe that access to world-class instruction — in every subject, for every scholar — is a matter of equity. Our World Language Spanish Teacher plays a vital role in bringing that belief to life by delivering culturally responsive, rigorous, and joyful Spanish language instruction to our scholars.
Language learning at Movement is about more than vocabulary and grammar. It is about building global awareness, honoring the linguistic heritage of many of our scholars and families, and opening doors of opportunity that might otherwise remain closed. Our World Language teacher is a bridge builder — connecting scholars to the Spanish-speaking world and to the cultural richness it represents.
This position delivers comprehensive Spanish language instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for World Languages, utilizing a communicative approach that builds proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The World Language Spanish Teacher collaborates with grade-level teams, participates in the school's professional learning culture, and serves as a champion for language and cultural competency across the campus. This role reports to the Campus Principal.

Analyze assessment data to identify patterns, adjust instruction, and provide targeted support for scholars who need additional language development
Maintain accurate and up-to-date grade records and progress documentation in alignment with campus policies
Communicate student progress regularly and clearly to families in a manner that is accessible and relational
Classroom Culture & Community
Build a joyful, affirming, and linguistically rich classroom environment where scholars feel safe to take risks in a new language

Collaboration & Professional Growth
Collaborate with grade-level teachers to identify cross-curricular connections between Spanish instruction and core content areas
Participate fully in school-wide professional development, data meetings, team planning sessions, and Movement Schools' coaching cycles
