Currently accepting applications for Early Childhood Teachers with a heart for working with infants 6 weeks to 36 months. Trinity Day Care is a not for profit organization, licensed through DCFS and recognized by ExceleRate Illinois with the Silver Circle of Quality. We offer a nurturing environment for our children as well as our staff. We work together to facilitate a developmentally appropriate, stimulating, and active learning environment for children six weeks through twelve years of age.
Key duties of the Infant Teacher :
- Developmental knowledge of children from 6 weeks to 36 months.
- Lead in providing a safe, clean, child-oriented and family friendly environment.
- Ability to track children's growth/needs ad use that info to plan individual and small group activities to extend their learning.
- Relationship building-Help children develop social-emotional skills with their peers and caregivers as well as being a support for the families.
- Ability to get down on the floor with children and play with them on their level. Comfortable giving and receiving lots of hugs.
Qualifications :
- One year of position related experience (preferred)
- Associates Degree in early childhood or related field (preferred)
- Teacher qualified by DCFS standards.
- Oral and written communication skills
- Infant/Toddler credentials
- Sound understanding of the stages and milestones of child development
- Physical stamina
- Computer literate
- Ability to multi-task
