Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician! The hours may vary as we have 6 locations! Pay information is not set in stone and we are open to a different range of course. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment by performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and conducting routine inspections. Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment including HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems promptly to minimize downtime.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs; document findings clearly.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing skilled technical support and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or installations when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, equipment repair, or related fields.
- Knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ventilation systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with construction practices and safety protocols in maintenance environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors when needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with clear communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC/R, refrigeration, appliance repair or related areas are preferred but not mandatory.
