Maintenance Director
Location: Manderley Healthcare Center – Osgood, IN
Position Type: Full-Time
Manderley Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the overall operation and maintenance of our skilled nursing facility in Osgood, IN.
The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment while ensuring the facility meets applicable state and regulatory requirements. This position oversees building maintenance, life safety systems, emergency preparedness, equipment, and general facility operations.
Maintain the overall operation and safety of the facility
Ensure required water temperatures, electrical outlets, call-light systems, and other building systems are properly maintained
Perform general repairs, including drywall, painting, and other facility maintenance
Install and maintain televisions and other equipment as needed
Maintain and service wheelchairs and other facility equipment
Oversee generator maintenance and ensure emergency power systems are operational
Conduct required fire drills and participate in facility inspections with the Fire Marshal
Maintain the facility fire safety book and emergency procedures
Ensure fire safety and emergency preparedness requirements are followed
Maintain necessary equipment and supplies in an operable condition
Ensure sufficient supplies, disinfectants, and equipment are available to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
Ensure environmental services personnel follow Universal Precautions, safety rules, fire and disaster procedures, and departmental policies
Conduct regular facility rounds to identify maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns
Coordinate and complete maintenance tasks and repairs as needed
Ensure compliance with applicable facility policies, state requirements, and safety regulations
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
Training in environmental control practices and procedures preferred
Previous medical or long-term care experience desirable
Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and respond effectively to facility maintenance and emergency needs
