We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Front Counter Sales & Production Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary
This hybrid role will primarily focus on assisting walk-in customers at our sales counter, providing knowledgeable support and handling product transactions. When not actively assisting customers, you will support purchasing in stocking the store, and the dock. Also learning general billing to assist in that aspect as well.
Key Responsibilities Sales Counter Duties:
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with product selection and sales.
- Recommend appropriate welding supplies, gases, and safety equipment.
- Process orders, quotes, and invoices using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and showroom area.
- Communicate with warehouse and delivery staff to fulfill customer orders.
Production Fill Room Support/ Back up Driver:
- Perform cylinder inspections, labeling, and documentation in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Move and organize cylinders using carts or hand trucks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer service or retail experience is required.
- Experience with welding or industrial supply is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks throughout the day.
- Comfortable working around compressed gases with appropriate safety gear and training.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed safety and operational procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
