The Human Resources Manager is responsible for a wide range of human resources functions including employee relations, workplace investigations, recruitment and staffing, classification and compensation, policy development, unemployment administration, ADA interactive process participation and supervisory support. This position serves as a trusted advisor to County leadership and departments, ensuring consistent application of policies and compliance with applicable laws while promoting a positive and effective work environment.
- Knowledge of HR principles including employee relations, recruitment and performance management

Knowledge of employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, Wisconsin employment law and unemployment insurance

Physical Demands
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. The position requires frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment, as well as regular verbal and written communication. The employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods, travel between County buildings and attend meetings, hearings, recruitment events and training sessions. Occasional lifting of materials up to 10 pounds may be required. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel as required for County business.
