This travel nursing role places you in a progressive care unit where you'll contribute to patient care for a variety of complex medical conditions, ranging from cardiac issues to respiratory illnesses and stroke. Schedule/Hours:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No call requirements
- Holiday commitment: 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
Professional Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 18 months PCU RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in cardiac drips, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care, central line management
- Capable of managing 1:4 patient ratio, up to 1:5 based on acuity
- Comfortable floating within the region and scope of practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to diverse patient populations in the PCU
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, and physicians
- Utilize advanced equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors
- Perform holistic care including wound management and central line oversight
