Position Overview:
The Supervising MD at Luna Joy will lead our clinical team, ensuring the highest quality of psychiatric care and mental health services tailored to the unique needs of women. This role involves a combination of clinical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of the complexities of women's mental health. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned psychiatrist with a passion for women's mental health, a visionary leader, and a compassionate caregiver.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership: Oversee the clinical team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care and ethical practice. Lead by example in providing exceptional mental health services.
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for women, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management with a focus on personalized care.
Program Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement innovative mental health programs and services that meet the evolving needs of women.
Training and Supervision: Mentor and supervise, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other mental health professionals. Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board-certified in Psychiatry, with additional certification or significant experience in women's mental health preferred.
- Valid state medical license.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrated commitment to women's mental health and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
