Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess the skills necessary to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering the growth and development of each child in your care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to support individual student needs, including those with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Facilitate early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Provide speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed for students requiring additional assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and IEP goals.
- Foster literacy education through innovative teaching methods tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in education.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of deaf education practices and working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Proficient in lesson planning that incorporates various subjects including math, literacy, and physical education.
- Background in special education and experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Understanding of behavioral health principles and child welfare practices.
- Experience in daycare or private school settings is preferred, along with familiarity with Montessori methods.
