Overview
Join our vibrant childcare team as a Daycare Assistant and play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children. In this dynamic position, you will work closely with lead teachers and caregivers to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Duties
- Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement
- Support classroom management by helping organize activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that encourage social skills, creativity, and curiosity
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Collaborate with team members to observe children’s behavior and developmental progress for documentation purposes
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and social interactions
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required before start date
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining patience and compassion

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
