We are family owned shop that has served the Bay Area as a supply house of electrical materials and lighting products for over 25 years. Open to the public, we work with industry professionals and non-industry individuals alike.
As a small team, our staff holds pride in being knowledgeable, capable, and flexible in being able to assist our clients, consisting of contractors, electricians, designers, and property managers & owners, in finding the right products and solutions whether it’s a small remodel or a large scale commercial build.
The Counter Associate’s primary focus is to help our clients from A-to-Z on the day to day with locating products, driving sales, invoicing, and order fulfillment. Our product offerings include a variety of electrical conduit & fittings, electrical boxes, panels, wire, lighting products, controls & switches, and more. As a specialty store we also order non-regular stocking products to meet customer needs.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for retail, ensuring that every customer has a positive shopping experience.
No prior industry experience is required to apply however it is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Conversational & literate in English
- Basic understanding of math & financial transactions
- Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role
- Must be able to operate a computer & navigate software comfortably
- Use the POS software for tasks such as processing quotes and invoicing customers
- Ability to use motorized tools such as spooling machines or forklifts
- Must be able to live 50+ lbs
- Aptitude to understand and research technical data and documents
PRIMARY DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored electrical product recommendations
- Operate cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Pick & pull items for order fulfillment
- Check & Receive incoming shipments accurately, noting any discrepancies
- Maintain stock levels by organizing inventory and performing regular stock checks
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations within the store
Pay: $23.25 - $28.00 per hour
