Nicolet Staffing is seeking a Small Scale/Operations Support Specialist for our client located in Eagle River! Pay is $18 per hr.
Roles & Responsibilities
Small Scale:
● Assist customers with unloading materials and provide basic guidance on accepted items and pricing.
● Accurately record customer transactions for proper payment of material.
● Sort and process scrap (ferrous/non-ferrous metals); remove non-metal materials; cut, bundle, and prepare scrap for transport.
● Assist sales team in identifying and locating used auto parts; provide accurate details on condition and compatibility.
Operations Support:
● Maintain clean, organized, and safe facilities and yard areas to support efficient operations.
● Follow all safety procedures; use PPE; properly handle hazardous materials and automotive fluids.
● Operate forklifts/hoists (certification provided); perform basic equipment checks and report issues.
● Serve as backup to coordinate shipping, delivery, or customer pickup.
● Assist in cataloging, labeling, and organizing parts by vehicle, category, and compatibility; maintain accurate inventory records, including locations and photos.
● Assist in processing cores for shipment.
● Backup for inspecting returns and managing core parts (engines, transmissions); restocking or disposing of items appropriately.
● Help as needed in cleaning, preparing, and storing parts; properly dispose of unusable materials per environmental regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
● The ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (e.g., 50+ lbs).
● A strong focus on safety procedures and regulations is critical for preventing accidents and environmental contamination.
● The ability to work effectively with other team members and multitask in a fast-paced environment is important.
● Strong attention to detail and organization.
