Medication Technician (Med Tech) / Caregiver Willow Creek Memory Care | Castro Valley, CA

ABOUT THE ROLE
Willow Creek Memory Care is seeking a dependable Medication Technician / Caregiver to provide safe medication administration and hands-on personal care to residents in our memory care community.
This dual-role position is ideal for a compassionate professional who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to resident dignity, safety, and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Technician Duties
· Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, MARs, and Title 22 regulations
· Accurately document all medication administration, refusals, PRNs, and changes
· Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition and report concerns promptly
· Maintain medication room organization, security, inventory, and expiration checks
· Coordinate with leadership, caregivers, families, and healthcare providers
· Support audits, inspections, and medication-related compliance
Caregiver Duties
· Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meals
· Provide incontinence care with dignity and respect
· Support residents with socialization, activities, and engagement
· Perform safety checks and routine rounds per care plans
· Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or cognitive condition
· Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Current Medication Technician certification or RCFE-approved medication training
· Previous experience in assisted living or memory care
· Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
· Must pass background clearance prior to employment
· Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays
· Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
