Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways.
- Perform lawn care duties like mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy turf.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as digging, pruning, and landscape shaping.
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including tree trimming, pruning, mulching, and seasonal snow plowing when needed.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Follow safety protocols at all times while using equipment such as excavators or other heavy machinery under supervision.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
- Prior experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles or tree care practices is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, construction, irrigation systems, or snow plowing.
