Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Janitor/Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone. This energetic position offers the opportunity to contribute to the overall cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities through dedicated custodial efforts. Whether you're experienced in commercial cleaning or eager to develop your janitorial skills, this role provides a rewarding chance to make a positive impact daily. One location is daily and takes about 1-1.5hrs daily. The other location is close by that facility and is done on Fridays only and takes around 3hrs. All together weekly you would be working less than 15hrs a week.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to ensure a spotless appearance
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly, adhering to waste management protocols
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment during cleaning tasks
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention and report maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and quality standards to ensure consistent facility upkeep
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency
- Strong work ethic with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills and reliability are essential for success in this role
- Must have own transportation to and from each location
