K&M Shooting Complex Maintenance & Grounds Team Member
Pay: $20-25/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 1099 Part-Time to Full-Time depending on experience. Potential to evolve into a management position. Employees must be available to work beyond regular hours as needed, including some evenings and weekends.
Job Description: This is a highly active, hands-on position responsible for the direct execution of daily maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep to keep our training facility in pristine condition. Responsibilities include primarily groundskeeping duties along with carpentry, plumbing, painting, power washing, detailed cleaning of all buildings, and repairs. This is not an easy job — it requires hard physical work and the ability to operate efficiently under pressure. The pay is higher than similar positions because our expectations are higher—every day, without exception. The right person will bring exceptional drive, personal accountability, and meticulous attention to detail. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining K&M’s reputation as the premier shooting complex in the nation.

Groundskeeping Duties:
- Experience operating turf equipment, bush hogging, and weed eating. (Required — No Exceptions)
- Proven proficiency operating commercial mowers (zero-turn), tractors with bush hog attachments, weed eaters, edgers, utility vehicles, power washers, leaf blowers (both backpack and pull-behind), trucks, trailers, and other equipment essential to our groundskeeping and maintenance operations. (Required — No Exceptions)
- Skilled and experienced in operating Skid Steers and Mini Excavators (Required — No Exceptions)
- Experienced in performing common mechanical repairs and routine and preventative maintenance to gasoline and diesel engines in tractors, mowers, weed eaters, mini ex, pressure washers, pumps, trucks, etc. (Required — No Exceptions)
- Clears brush and trees.
- Rakes, power washes, and blow leaves, walkways, parking lots, driveways, etc.
- Installs and repairs signs, fences, and related items.
- Applies fertilizer and seed to turf areas. Experience applying lawn chemicals is a plus.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, HVAC, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance, construction of target frames, and other projects.
- Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the general manager.
Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:
- Duties include cleaning and maintaining hard surface floors by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
- Dusting furniture, pictures, ventilation, lights, and blinds, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning windows, and other normal cleaning and maintenance duties to established standards.
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, surfaces, and trim. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Cleans Bathrooms, Showers, Toilets, Sinks, Floors. Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Cleans kitchens and all kitchen appliances.
- Complete laundry related to our lodging facilities including towels and bed linens and inspect for damaged and stained items.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish supplies such as towels and toiletries.
- Attention to detail to ensure rooms are clean and presentable.
- Be a facility’s valuable extra set of eyes—initiate and complete repairs & replacements as you notice them.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of working with little or no supervision, and be able to work outside, in all weather conditions and to perform physically difficult work every day.
- Physical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds: have average strength and ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in cold and heat; the ability to climb stairs or ladders; and the ability to transport heavy equipment.
- Must have basic English communication skills to understand instructions and communicate effectively with team members. Perfect fluency is not required.
Non-Negotiable Experience (Do Not Apply Without It):
- 3 years of experience operating commercial mowers (zero-turn), tractors/bush hog, weed eaters, edgers, utility vehicles, leaf blowers, trucks, trailers, and other equipment used in our groundskeeping tasks is required.
- 3 years of experience operating Skid Steers and Mini Excavators.
- 3 years of experience in general maintenance.
- Able to understand and follow detailed instructions.
- Reliable and predictable attendance is a must.
License/Certification:
