The Wright Counseling (TWC) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and skilled Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our dedicated team in Portage, Michigan. Position Overview
As a clinician at TWC, you will provide high quality, trauma informed and depth oriented psychotherapy to individuals, families, and children. We are looking for a clinician with a depth oriented model to therapy, including but not limited to EMDR, NARM, IFS, Somatic Experiencing or Psychodynamically trained. Experience working with couples is a plus and must work with children.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Practice: Conduct intake assessments and interviews to develop individualized, strength based treatment plans. Create a welcoming space for clients to explore what they want for themselves.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize a variety of modalities to help clients challenge thoughts, regulate emotions, and improve communication.
- Trauma Informed Care: Provide specialized support, such as Trauma Focused CBT or any depth model for children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events. Provide therapy sessions while ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in clinical supervision and collaborate with the leadership team to ensure the client experience aligns with our mission, vision and values. Be open minded, non-judgmental, inclusive to all, always ready to learn new things, fun, kind and curious.
- Documentation & Ethics: Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation while strictly adhering to confidentiality standards and mandated reporting laws.
- Professional Development: Stay current on research in the fields of counseling, psychology, and social work to provide effective interventions.
- Collaborate with other clinicians to foster our sense of community.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Marriage & Family Therapy.
- Licensure: Fully licensed in the State of Michigan (LPC, LMSW, LP, or LMFT).
- Experience: Previous experience in mental healthcare required; Experience working with children and families required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, self reflective, clinical writing, and the ability to work both independently and synergistically with a team.
