This is more than a traditional producer role. The ideal candidate will generate new business, develop referral relationships, lead commercial client engagements, build scalable processes, and contribute to the long-term growth of the insurance practice.
Produce new commercial P&C business through networking, referrals, centers of influence, and direct prospecting.
Partner with internal advisors to identify clients who would benefit from insurance reviews and risk management solutions.
Conduct commercial insurance coverage reviews, including General Liability, Commercial Property, BOP, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Cyber, EPLI, Professional Liability, Contractor Risk, Real Estate Risk, and related coverages.
Manage the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, discovery meetings, policy reviews, submissions, proposals, binding, onboarding, and renewals.
Develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, wholesalers, and market partners.
Help establish agency workflows, documentation standards, renewal processes, quoting procedures, and operational best practices.
Utilize HawkSoft or similar agency management systems to maintain client records, policy information, documentation, and renewal tracking.
Collaborate with operations staff to develop efficient processes for certificates, endorsements, claims support, renewals, billing, submissions, and client communications.
Ensure seamless collaboration between insurance and other advisory services while maintaining client confidentiality and compliance.
Promote a consultative, client-focused approach to risk management and insurance planning.
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
Commercial Lines production experience.
Strong knowledge of small and middle-market commercial insurance.
Proven ability to generate new business and manage a commercial book of business.
Experience working with business owners, CFOs, controllers, attorneys, contractors, real estate owners, and professional service firms.
Understanding of underwriting, carrier appetite, submissions, renewals, remarketing, and market placement.
Experience with agency management software; HawkSoft experience is preferred.
Strong documentation, organization, and client relationship management skills.
