Job Summary
Harmony Hope Haven is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team in Fayette, Mississippi. The RBT will work directly with children and families under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans, support skill development, reduce challenging behaviors, and help clients make meaningful progress across home, clinic, school, and community settings as appropriate.

Essential Job Duties
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children and adolescents under the supervision of the LBA/BCBA
- Implement individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention strategies, and skill acquisition programs as designed by the supervising clinician
- Collect and record accurate session data on client progress, behavior targets, and treatment goals
- Assist clients with developing communication, social, behavioral, self-help, and daily living skills
- Follow behavior support plans and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors using approved intervention strategies
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment during all sessions
- Communicate professionally and effectively with parents/caregivers regarding session activities and client progress, as directed by the clinical team
- Participate in supervision meetings, trainings, staff meetings, and clinical reviews as required
- Complete session notes, documentation, and assigned administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain compliance with RBT standards, HIPAA, organizational policies, and all applicable payer and state requirements
- Support generalization of skills by working collaboratively with caregivers and team members
- Report concerns related to safety, behavior changes, attendance, or treatment barriers to the supervising clinician promptly
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing, or willingness to obtain certification if applying for a trainee/behavior technician role
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, child development, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or related needs preferred
- Ability to follow clinical direction and implement treatment plans with consistency and professionalism
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain patient, calm, and engaged in a fast-paced behavioral health setting
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Preferred:
- Previous ABA experience in a clinic, school, home, or community setting
- Experience working with children with autism or other developmental and behavioral needs
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience with data collection, behavior tracking, and parent communication
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the workday
- Ability to sit on the floor, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move quickly as needed during sessions
- Ability to lift, carry, or assist with children/materials as appropriate for the role
- Ability to respond safely and appropriately during behavioral escalations in accordance with training and policy
