Your Mission
As a Maintenance Technician at Zellerfeld, you’ll play a key role in keeping our innovative 3D printing production environment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll ensure that our printers, production equipment, and support systems are maintained, optimized, and ready to perform.
Your work will directly support production by minimizing equipment downtime, troubleshooting technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and partnering with Production and Engineering to continuously improve equipment performance.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on 3D printers, post-processing equipment, and other production systems.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain printer uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic software-related equipment issues.
- Inspect equipment, identify worn or damaged components, and complete necessary repairs or replacements.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures.
- Support the installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring issues or opportunities for technical improvements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed maintenance, repairs, equipment issues, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
- Ensure all maintenance activities follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused maintenance and production environment.
- Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to troubleshoot problems, implement improvements, and support seamless operations.
Your Profile
- Safety-first mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Previous maintenance, technician, manufacturing, or other hands-on technical experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems, sensors, motors, and basic industrial controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and accurately document completed work.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized with the ability to prioritize maintenance needs based on production impact.
- Reliable team player with a hands-on mentality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.
- Willing to support production needs, including occasional weekends or overtime when required.
- Based in Austin, TX, or the surrounding area.
- Experience with 3D printing, automation, or industrial production equipment is a plus, but not required.
