Sirius Staffing is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support equipment and facility operations in a fast-paced distribution/manufacturing environment in Whitsett, NC.
Pay: $19/hr.
Hours: 6:30a-3:30p
This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and helping maintain a safe and organized work environment to minimize downtime and support daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on warehouse and manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and assist with basic equipment repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
- Communicate equipment concerns and repair updates effectively with team members
- Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, repair parts, and supplies
- Support maintenance and engineering teams with daily operational needs
- Operate equipment such as electric forklifts and scissor lifts as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing/distribution equipment and systems
- Basic understanding of motorized material handling equipment and electric forklifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC-based applications in an industrial setting
- Experience with industrial electrical wiring, power distribution, or electrical systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic conveyor systems
- Familiarity with Zebra and Lexmark printers
- Knowledge of tooling and calibration services
- Industrial Electrician Certification
- Associate or 4-year degree in Maintenance, Electronics, or related field preferred
