Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with electrical systems installation, wiring, conduit bending, and schematic interpretation on construction sites.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints to support accurate project execution.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform electrical work according to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems across commercial and industrial projects.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to ensure system integrity.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols during all tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete construction tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, conduit bending, electrical wiring, and systems installation preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices is advantageous.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining focus on safety procedures.
- Construction site experience or related construction background is beneficial but not mandatory; a proactive attitude towards learning is key.
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and understanding of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) or NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines is desirable.
