Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to an individual in their own home. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and helper, ensuring your client receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Duties
- Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence.
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, recognizing changes, and reporting findings in accordance with care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to support dietary needs and preferences.
- Support client with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment regimens while following HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Provide companionship, engage in social activities, and support mental health through meaningful interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Assist with transportation for appointments, errands, or community activities to foster social engagement and independence.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus.
- Ability to conduct proper patient transfer methods; manual handling skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Experience working in home health or home care environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of home & community care practices, patient monitoring, care plans development, and social work principles is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends as needed; reliable transportation is necessary.
