Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook food items efficiently while maintaining quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with meal prep, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety management
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and operating kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and food handling protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
- Previous dietary aide or catering experience is a plus but not required
