Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Manage cash handling duties, including cash register operations, change distribution, and balancing cash drawers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service and quality standards are met
- Engage with customers to promote menu items, upsell products, and enhance overall satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a café environment with strong coffee-making skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Strong cash handling abilities combined with basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Retail sales experience with an understanding of retail math principles
- Previous cashiering experience in the food industry or retail sector is highly desirable
