One Family Pediatrics is a family centered, privately owned Pediatric office in Cumming, GA. We have 2 pediatric physicians and a licensed mental health therapist on staff. We are also a patient centered medical home that is dedicated to compassion, efficiency, and having a warm, friendly work environment.
We are seeking an Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is professional, caring, energetic, positive with a strong work ethic and desires to be a team player.
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, face adversity with poise, and brainstorm solutions on the fly. They must be confident, eager to learn, and take initiative when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care
- Duties may include scheduling patients, obtaining patient history, vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, administering vaccines/medications and educating patients
- Answer phones when necessary
- Triage patient calls
- Assist with patient flow
- Monitor patient arrivals and wait times, escort patients, and notify team when patients are ready
- Ensures exam rooms are clean and healthy for the next patient.
- Wash, sterilize, and prepare instruments/equipment
- Stock rooms
- Discard medical waste properly
- Record medical information
- Assist with administrative tasks, which may include prior authorizations, form completions, referrals, maintain logs and educational materials, and send/receive medical records
Requirements:
- Exhibit compassion and a caring demeanor to our patients
- Familiarity with medical equipment, tools, terminology, and coding
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Work with integrity and professionalism
- Must pass a background check
- Experience with children (not necessarily medically related)
